Who We Are
Southampton Connect is a unique collaborative model for undertaking joint working in Southampton. At its heart is a group of senior city representatives, from a range of organisations, who have agreed to work together to tackle a number of major challenges the city faces. These challenges cannot be overcome by any one organisation working on their own, but require sustained collaborative working across a range of partners. Meeting monthly, Southampton Connect have launched a Southampton Connect Plan containing a vision for the city and ten priority projects that will be delivered in collaboration to address the key challenges we face.
Southampton Connect will monitor its performance in working towards the Connect Plan and hold two stakeholder conferences per year to engage collaborative partners. Ideally a conference will be held around spring-time to present a ‘State of the City’ position statement and another will be held in the autumn to update on progress being made against the City’s Priorities and Challenges.
As Southampton Connect develops we are communicating our progress and ways of working. We are updating partners primarily through briefing notes and e-bulletins.
