Southampton Partnership Archive
The Southampton Partnership was Southampton's Local Strategic Partnership. It operated from 2002 - March 2011. During late 2010 the Southampton Partnership was reviewed with the aim of making it less bureaucratic and more efficient and flexible. Southampton Connect, launched in April 2011, is the successor body of the Southampton Partnership.
Southampton Partnership Policy Board chaired by the Leader of the Council, the SP Policy Board was the strategic body which champions the co-ordination of partner activities across the city to realise Southampton's 2026 vision.
Southampton Partnership Delivery Board chaired by the Chief Executive of Southampton City Council, the SP Delivery Board met monthly. It's role was to ensure that the City of Southampton Strategy and SP Policy Board's objectives for improving economic, social and environmental well-being of local residents were delivered.
Eight Thematic Partnerships held to account by the SP Delivery Board. The Thematic Partnerships (sometimes known as the family of partnerships) were charged with delivering specific strategies, plans, Local Area Agreement Targets and /or key initiatives. The Thematic Partnerships were:
- The Children and Young People's Trust
- The Economy and Enterprise Board
- The Health and Wellbeing Partnership
- The Later Years Partnership
- The Safe City Partnership
- Southampton Energy Partnership
- Southampton Heritage and Arts People (SHAPe)
- Southampton Housing Partnership
